Karen Michael is a workplace expert and employment lawyer who relies on her 18 years of employment law and executive HR experience to deliver practical business and legal employment advice to employers. In addition, she provides innovative, interactive and engaging training to leaders, managers and HR teams regarding all areas of management and employment law topics, including the Americans with Disabilities Act and practical solutions around understanding legal implications of interrelated laws such as FMLA and Worker’s Compensation. In addition, Karen conducts HR investigations into allegations of discrimination, misconduct, harassment and policy violations. Karen graduated with honors from TC Williams School of Law and then worked at McGuire Woods before joining SunTrust Bank as a First Vice President for Employee Relations. In 2008, Karen founded her own firm, specializing in employment law, training and workplace investigations.
